ANATECH, a Structural Integrity Associates company has provided performance based forensic nonlinear analysis to evaluate root cause failure modes of several buildings.

These include the collapse of the 16 story Alto Rio condominium building in Concepcion, Chile during a magnitude 8.8 earthquake in 2010 and the Royal Palm Resort in Guam during a magnitude 8.1 earthquake in 1993. This involved nonlinear time history analyses of both global models and local component static push analyses to determine capacities, ductility limits, progression of compressive crushing, tensile cracking and ultimate failure modes.

In addition we have provided support of new designs for innovative moment resistant frame structures, assessment of and damage related to thermal induced deformations of large buildings and vibration induced vulnerabilities of historic structures due to increased traffic volume on close proximity roadways.
